• The "Thrill the World - Haunted with Goodness" benefit, held at the Stables at Herrington in October, was an event like no other ever experienced by the community. The Zombies began invading the county in the summer of 2009, appearing at numerous events throughout the vacation season, exciting the crowds with their music and dance, and enticing others to join them. Though cold and damp on the day of the event, the weather did nothing to dampen the spirits of those who came out to enjoy the day. When night fell and the clock struck 8:30 PM, hoards of uniquely terrifying Zombies from Garrett County and beyond rose up and danced in sync to Michael Jackson’s famous song, raising an astonishing $33,000!
